At the end of the year, a group of divers from the 5th Special Forces Regiment organised a conference for divers from the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic. The event was attended by members of the 91st Engineer Regiment Sereď, instructors from the Lešt' Training Centre and a member of the International Centre of Excellence for EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal).
      Discussions at the conference focused on the evaluation of tasks, exercises and courses in 2024 and the planning of joint activities in 2025. The central theme was the strengthening of cooperation and the exchange of practical experience from both domestic and foreign environments.
      The conference was attended in person by the Commander of the 5th Special Forces Regiment, Colonel Peter Žochňák, who, together with a group of divers, presented commemorative plaques for long-term cooperation in the field of underwater and   amphibious operations.
      "Mutual cooperation in waterborne and underwater operational areas is an important way for us to jointly increase our readiness. It is important that we continue to work together and share lessons learned in order to effectively meet the challenges that lie ahead," emphasised the Regimental Diving Group Commander.
      The conference was conducted in a spirit of mutual respect and professional commitment. The successful course of the meeting and the exchange of views contributed to the participants' conviction that cooperation and the development of joint activities will continue in the years to come.
      Such meetings are an important step towards more effectively providing the Armed Forces with the necessary expertise and capabilities to deal with complex situations in underwater and amphibious environments.
